One size fits all? NOT!
[ send me this paper ]
(6pp) I thought of her one-size-fits all story when we were talking about "zero tolerance." If this were not a school paper, I would just say that it "sucks," and leave it at that, because I think that the zero tolerance policy is similar to that one size fits all shirt deal. I can understand that parents have been freaked out by all the violence stuff that has been on the news and at other schools. It is a scary thing. I agree with that. I do not think that guns or alcohol belong in school, but our school handbook says that there will be "zero tolerance" for "unacceptable behavior; disrespect to staff," or guns. Anybody who needs to bring a gun to school has zero brain cells - so they should get into trouble for that Bibliography lists 3 sources.

Peer Rejection and Aggression
[ send me this paper ]
A 7 page paper discussing the origin of aggression among teens in terms of peer rejection. There have been countless studies linking excessive aggression with personality, most of which have concluded that heightened aggression can be positively linked with some personality types. Others have used specific personality traits as predictors of aggressive behavior, and several have suggested that peer rejection contributes to development of aggression. Among those teens already suffering from the real or perceived effects of peer rejection, those involved with drugs or alcohol are even more likely to suffer adverse effects. The authors discussed here all bring a different perspective to the issue of aggression arising from peer rejection, supplying possible origins of growing aggressive problems. Piaget and Middle Cildhood.
[ send me this paper ]
(5 pp). Jean Piaget wanted to understand how kids think. His reasoning was that, if he observed children's cognitive skills development carefully some patterns would develop. Recording and being aware of those patterns would then help him make some decisions about how we think and accrue knowledge as adults. This discussion will consider Piaget's theories of development for middle childhood. And for the sake of discussion we will define the age of that child between 7 to 11. It should be noted that humans, particularly children, seldom fit in any given development category one hundred percent of the time. Bibliography lists 5 sources.

Some studies allege that children are overdiagnosed and overmedicated, some concluded that many children slip through the cracks and are not diagnosed and treated, while still others suggest it is an issue of misdiagnosis and improper medication. Psychological Development In Adolescence
[ send me this paper ]
A 10 page paper discussing adolescence in general. By far, the teen years are not all doom and gloom unless people around the teen attempt to make them that way, but by the same token, adults have no reason to tell teens that life never improves. Finishing up with the hormone wash and gaining the life experience that enables the individual to truly know who he is are freeing in the end, but both processes alone can be devastating to the teen who has only limited adult support and the safety net of a loving and accepting family.
